Welcome!

I am an Associate Professor of Public Policy and Regional Development and Head of the Research and Innovation Center at the Faculty of Economics at Matej Bel University. My research focuses on urban and regional development, resilience, inequality, and comparative regional studies. I held visiting researcher and lecturer positions at KTH Stockholm and the University of Ljubljana and completed research stays in Norway, Ukraine, and Russia through Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. I have been deeply involved in national and international research projects, including FP7, H2020, and Horizon Europe, with a focus on smart, creative, and resilient cities, as well as urban, rural, and regional development policy. I am currently the Coordinator of the Horizon Europe project BRRIDGE. My academic work has, among others, appeard in Regional Studies, Cities, Journal of Regional Science, and Socio-Economic Planning Sciences.
